Channels of solidarity

Using a holistic approach, the project aims to offer support to migrants who are in extreme vulnerability and/or at risk of detention.

The Italian political and legal landscape around immigration has become increasingly repressive over the years, resulting in an increase in the number of undocumented migrants due to restrictive laws.

Provisions for residence permits andasylum determinationare further aggravated by economic and social stagnation due to the health crisis, which has led to an increase in the number of homeless migrants with psychosocial frailties.

For these reasons, Mosaico conceived the Channels of Solidarity project, which, in collaboration with the Kriol legal team, aims to create a holistic approach to offering support to migrants who find themselves in conditions of extreme vulnerability and/or at risk of detention.

Since 2020, the multidisciplinary team assisted by civil and institutional networks has been working on the design of pathways for migrants at risk of irregularity, marginalization and/or detention, ensuring that they are listened to and consciously participate in building their future.
