The project
From 2012 to the present, Mosaico accompanies a group of refugee women involved in the “We are not alone” project, hosted first at the Casa del Quartiere in San Salvario and later at the Passo Social Point in Barriera di Milano. The contact person, also a refugee and Mosaico worker, accompanies the women in their shared search for solutions to their needs in terms of autonomy in work, housing and social inclusion.
Each year Mosaico offers a different course of activities in which various professionals such as lawyers, doctors, social workers, and workers in the hospitality sector are involved. As part of the “We are not alone” project, Mosaico has been developing the “International Day of Refugee Women” since 2015, an event organized by refugee women and open to all citizens of Turin.
