It is a time to call attention to the plight of millions of people forced to leave their countries because of war, persecution, environmental crises or other violence. Since 2007, Mosaico has organized local celebrations in Turin, which over the years have grown into a full-fledged festival: the International Week of Rights, Environment and Cultures. Not a single event, but a widespread calendar of initiatives across the city involving refugees, citizens, institutions, schools, universities, cultural and social bodies.
International “Rights to the Point” Week
June 15 to 20, 2026

The Week has become a reference point for the Turin and Piedmont area, with a program that combines moments of reflection and discussion with workshops, artistic performances, shows, guided tours, workshops in schools and participatory activities. The objective is twofold: on the one hand to raise awareness among citizens with correct information and new perspectives on migration, and on the other hand to give space to the protagonism of refugee people, who contribute to the organization, animation and content of the initiatives.
In recent years, the festival has been enriched with special projects, such as the competition and artistic residency “Ai miei sogni non rinuncio,” carried out with Fondazione Orsolina 28 and Fondazione Lavazza, which gave refugee artists the opportunity to create and exhibit collective works; or workshops and paths dedicated to refugee women and children, in collaboration with cultural and social realities of the city.
The Week is now a meeting place between different networks: associations, local authorities, universities, schools, foundations, neighborhood houses and citizens. An urban laboratory that shows how the issue of migration does not only concern those who arrive, but the entire community that welcomes and transforms together.
